LITTLE MONDO X OPBLUE
As we are all on this world, we’ve got to help all those we can. Particularly those who can’t help themselves. This was the biggest reason Little Mondo was created - as a way to give back.
We have partnered with OpBlue to donate $2 of every sale to a life-changing project.
About OpBlue
Making a Difference Around the World
OpBlue is driven by a single goal: creating lasting positive change across the globe. They envision a world where everyone has access to fundamental human rights.
They achieve this by bringing communities together. The sustainable solutions for water, education, and healthcare are designed with respect for local cultures and beliefs. OpBlue collaborates with local staff and organisations to ensure their impact is significant and long-lasting.
Every OpBlue project expands their reach, empowering individuals and communities to break free from poverty.
OpBlue's Operations
OpWater
785 million people lack access to clean drinking water globally.
800+ children under the age of 5 die every day from water-related diarrhoea.
2.3 billion people live without access to basic sanitation.
OpBlue Clean Water Project empowers communities by providing access to clean water, a fundamental need denied to too many.
OpEducation
98 million children between the age of 6-18 in Sub-Saharan Africa aren’t able to attend school.
23% of girls in Africa won’t ever attend school or have access to the education that they need.
9/10 children under the age of 14 don’t meet minimum proficiency levels in reading and maths.
Education and poverty are inextricably linked, therefore, an essential part of childhood is denied to millions.
OpEducation's goal is to use education as a means to breaking the cycle of poverty in Africa, by partnering with local schools, to bring education to those who need it most.
OpHealth
Only 34% of health facilities in Africa have the necessary medical equipment to provide basic emergency and surgical care
1 in 13 children in sub-Saharan Africa die before their fifth birthday, with the majority of these deaths attributed to preventable or treatable conditions
Two-thirds of global maternal deaths occur in Africa due to limited access to skilled birth attendants, emergency obstetric care, and family planning services.
To combat a critical lack of medical resources in Kenya, OpHealth equips health facilities with life-saving supplies and empowers staff through education.
